Our story

We built the tool we wished existed

Bakekick started with a simple observation: home bakers were running full-scale businesses out of Instagram DMs, sticky notes, and spreadsheets. They deserved something better — something built specifically for them.

We're a small team of bakers, designers, and engineers based in Austin, TX. We're obsessed with helping home-based baking businesses grow — and we're just getting started.

Our mission

"To give every home-based baker the tools, confidence, and community to turn their passion into a thriving business."

How it started

A napkin sketch that became a platform

In 2022, our co-founder Jordan watched his sister — a talented home baker with a 3-month waitlist — lose a $400 custom cake order because her DMs overflowed. She was talented enough to have a waitlist. She just didn't have the right tools.

He sketched the first version of Bakekick on a napkin: a simple system for managing orders, tracking costs, and getting paid. He showed it to his co-founder Priya, who had spent years designing tools for small businesses. They started talking to bakers.

Two years and 50 beta bakers later, that napkin sketch became the platform you're looking at now. We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started.

What we believe

These values aren't a wall poster. They're the decisions we make every day when we build Bakekick.

Built for real bakers

We designed every feature alongside home bakers who were already running their businesses out of notebooks and spreadsheets. If it doesn't solve a real problem, it doesn't ship.

Honest and transparent

One simple plan, one honest price. No hidden upsells, no feature gates designed to frustrate you into upgrading. What you see is what you get.

Community first

A baker directory that gets you discovered. A community of thousands who actually understand the chaos of a Saturday cake drop. You're not baking alone.

Always improving

Every feature request goes into our inbox. Every bug gets fixed. We release updates every week because the people who trust us with their business deserve a product that keeps getting better.
