Using the Cost & Pricing Calculator

Updated May 1, 2025·4 min read

Guessing prices leaves money on the table. The Bakekick Cost & Pricing Calculator uses your real ingredient costs, hourly rate, and overhead to suggest a fair price.

Open the calculator

From any recipe or order, click Calculate price. The calculator pulls ingredient costs from your pantry data.

Enter labor hours — prep, bake, decorate, and delivery. Set your hourly rate in Settings → Business if you haven't already.

Read the breakdown

You'll see three layers: ingredient cost, labor cost, and overhead/profit margin. The suggested total is what you should charge to break even plus profit.

Copy the suggested price directly into a quote or invoice, or round up for rush fees and complex designs.

  • Update ingredient costs when supplier prices change — your suggestions stay accurate.
  • Save pricing presets for standard sizes (6-inch, 8-inch, dozen cupcakes).
