Turning a quote into a paid invoice

Updated May 1, 2025·3 min read

Once a customer approves your quote, the next step is collecting payment. In Bakekick, you don't rebuild the order from scratch — you convert the approved quote directly into an invoice.

What happens after approval

When a customer clicks Approve on your quote, the order status updates in your dashboard. You'll see the approved amount, customer details, and all line items locked to what they agreed to.

Open the approved quote and click Convert to Invoice. Bakekick copies every detail — customer, items, dates, and total — into a new invoice ready to send.

Collect payment

Before sending, choose whether to request a deposit or the full amount. The invoice inherits your default deposit settings, but you can override them per order.

Send the invoice the same way you sent the quote: email link or copy/paste. Payment status syncs back to the original order so you always know what's been collected.

  • Approved quotes keep a full audit trail — no more wondering what price you quoted.
  • If the customer doesn't pay within your window, send a reminder without re-creating the invoice.
