Setting up automatic payment reminders

Updated May 1, 2025·2 min read

Chasing payments is awkward — especially when the customer is a friend or a repeat client. Automatic reminders handle the follow-up with a professional tone while you stay focused on baking.

Enable payment reminders

Go to Settings → Payments → Reminders. Toggle on automatic reminders for unpaid invoices.

Choose when reminders go out: for example, 3 days before the due date, on the due date, and 2 days after. You can customize the schedule to match how you run your bakery.

What customers receive

Reminders include your bakery name, the invoice total, what's still owed, and a direct Pay Now link. They're sent from Bakekick on your behalf — you don't need to draft each message.

When a customer pays, reminders stop automatically. You'll see reminder history on the invoice detail page.

Note

Reminders only send for invoices with an outstanding balance. Fully paid orders never receive payment nudges.
